Lisa Dahl was born in Minneapolis, later attending Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where she received her BA in Art History. She moved to New York City to do her MFA in painting at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers, New Jersey. She has exhibited her art in some of the previously mentioned states and had a residency at the Frans Masereel Centre in Belgium.


I have investigated the suburban home as a metaphor of the ‘American Dream' and its discontents for several years...
